St. Andrews Day: What to Eat
St. Andrews Day
To celebrate our patron saint and all that Scotland has to offer, we have combined our recipes to have the perfect Scottish St. Andrews Day (a.k.a. eat everything Scottish day).
Smoked Salmon Bagel with Poached Egg
Scotland arguably has some of the best seafood in the world, which is why we have chosen this incredible Smoked Salmon bagel recipe for breakfast. The smoked salmon we use is from Amhuinnsuidhe Castle and we absolutely love it.
We have made these venison burgers with Ardgay Game’s pre-made venison burgers with sweet chilli. These burgers are delicious in every way, you must try them.
A classic Scottish dish using Scotland’s best macaroni pasta from Marshalls and a delicious Scottish cheese (or two). A simple, yet classic recipe you won’t regret. Make it even more Scottish by making this recipe but before it goes into the oven, crumble some haggis on top (yes, really!).
Gooey Chocolate Brownies with homemade Tablet Ice-Cream using Skye Glen or Mrs. Tilly’s
Celebrate two of Scotland best food items; raspberries and tablet. Combine these to make a decadent dessert for you to impress with this St. Andrews Day.
For the Ice-Cream:
If you make any of these recipes, remember to take a picture and tweet it to us (@foodanddrinkhub). Have a great St. Andrews Day!
